What makes us different?
A traditional accelerator’s applicants are looking to grow their businesses from beginning stages into a larger company through the raising of venture capital. In exchange for providing education, mentorship, resources, and capital the program receives equity in the business or culminates in a demo day after which investments can be made. Most accelerators aim to create industry leaders and disruptors like Airbnb, Reddit, and Twitch (all graduates of Y Combinator).
b Supported Accelerator
Unlike traditional accelerators geared towards startups looking to raise venture capital we work exclusively with self-funded small businesses that would otherwise be considered too small for accelerators or VC funding. We don’t take equity in our businesses and fund the program through donations and sponsorship. We aim to take small women-owned businesses to the next level so they can hire more people and make more profit, expanding the women-owned economy.
